Road trip

whoa... i spent a fortune just for the fare going to (and from) tagaytay. well, actually, geca and i made a few stops before going there. we had to drop by st. cabrini to get the license numbers of our preceptors for our IVT cases. thank God i'm all done with it! :)

Anyway, it was noon and was scorching hot! the weather is becoming very confusing nowadays. on our way to tagaytay, dark clouds piled up in the sky and started to drizzle... so i thought "NOOOOOO. i neeeed the suuuun!!!"... mother nature heard me and made the rain stop.... (it was not really raining in some parts of the expressway!)

originally, we were supposed to go to nasugbu, batangas. we decided not to pursue it since it's late in the afternoon. so, we stayed in tagaytay instead. Shooting wass my main goal for this trip. i wanted to take photos of the taal lake and the mountains. guess what? the scene was hazy! *grrr* i was expecting the sun to light up the scene and give me a gorgeous landscape. sorry me. *hrmp*

i think this shot is pretty interesting. hehe

i haven't transferred the pictures in my PC. i have yet to discover if i did get nice shots. i hope i did!

where did we go? we went to the "palace in the sky"... palace? you call that palace? hahaha! it's more like "ruins in the sky"! Sayang. they should have taken care of the place. what a waste! the view should have been great if i went there in the morning (i guess). Next time, i shall.

the walk going down from the palace was better than being at the palace! there was ride going back to the market except the over-priced tricycle. no way will pay P80.00 just for a short ride??? we started to walk and felt the cool breeze of the place. the view was quite awesome too. :) the walk was indeed very short! we saw jeepneys! good thing we didn't pay 80 pesos. that's the fare going back to laguna already. we were supposed to go to 'picnic grove' and 'our Lady of Manawag' but decided not to 'cause we might miss the last trip going home. "Gala nalang tayo sa Paseo." and off to paseo, we were. :) Geez, i fell asleep in the van! yikes!

I told myself i'm not eating out.... sorry, but i did. *spank*.... yellow cab's spaghetti and meat balls + a 10 inch cheese pizza were for dinner. BUSOOOG! i went home with a fat tummy and a thin wallet.

it was fun. thanks geca, for the company. :)

The Uncluttering

I want this week to be jam-packed.... on march, i'll be starting my hospital duties. so i better make something out of my time while im free as a bird... :) soooo... hrmmm... i might go around photowalking in:

1. Anilao: of course, im on a budget. i'll just go there to take pictures and go straight home... siguro mejo magtatampisaw ng kaunti. hehe

2 Pagsanjan: oh, this is an easy place to go to... there are a lot of old houses i can take a picture of. :)

3. hrmmmm.. can't think of anything more. LOL

pffft.... i will be a traveler on a budget. so i plan to only spend for my fare... Food? I shall bring my pack lunch. LOL.

Chocolates and Chicken

"Kuya, meron ba kayong sugar free chocolates dito?".... Geez.. whatever happened to Petchai who swore not to eat chocolates forever and ever? Starting late December 2010, i started nibbling on chocolate truffles. i remember, Renz and her niece, Lara O. and Andrew witnessed this. I placed the truffles in a white bowl... they were just picking it and popping 'em in their mouths. i said to myself, why not try just a little, tiniwini bite?... and so i did... IT WAS HEAVEN. While savoring its bitter-sweet goodness, i was also observing myself since i wouldn't like to unleash the monstrous transformation that i had before.... Lately, when i feel a little reaction, i'd take a pill.

Kuya said there were no available sugar free chocolates for sale. I ended up buying a Goya Dark Chocolate with Almond and Cabury Strawberry Wafer. Nyum nyum!

Petchai must have been lenient to herself, lately... i just hope she wouldn't over do it. DISCIPLINE MUST RULE!

oh, and by the way, i eat chickens now....

There are really some people who are talented in making up stories. I'm amazed by them as I am annoyed of what they do. People tend to alter and exaggerate the truth. I tend to just give them the benefit of the doubt. "Bayabas", as they call it.. Meaning, "mayabang". haha!

The bomb threats are always in Makati. Yesterday, cherry rodeo sent me a text mentioning there was a bomb threat in Assumption?!? Geez! From what i know, that school is the safest amongst schools in Makati since it's inside San Lorenzo Village. hrmmm.. Well.. you can never tell which is safe nowadays..

I headed to the Medical City yesterday to have my second shot of the HPV vaccine , as well as my thyroid check up. There was a loooong queue with my Endocrinologist. I wonder if she's the only one in Medical City who has that specialization. I made sure I won't miss that check up because it's pretty hard to get an appointment. I was supposed to have my checkup on December 15 but had a conflict with my schedule. I was rescheduled January 31! the 31st patient on the 31st of January. what a coincidence. LOL!

i was reading a forum regarding " what makes a photographer professional??". i just wanted to quote a line from Mr. Ralph Berrett regarding photojournalism... he shared 3 basic concepts:

(1) Be the firstest with the mostest.
(2) Shot first ask forgiveness later.
(3) When in doubt motor out.

the forum i'm reading is really a 'good read'... kinda inspired... so.. im outa here.. gotta be the firstest with the mostest!

i woke up really early today (4:00am).

I posted (and still posting) several family pictures on facebook. it's kind of frustrating to upload nowadays FB is not cooperating at times. too slow.

i wish I'm done with my duty in st. cabrini. :( hrmph

Shoulda brought the big camera with me yesterday. i wanted to take pictures in 'geothermal'.

Heavenly Forest... awwww.

Oh my gulay! i have to blog this. i just saw this japanese movie called "heavenly forest" and it made me cry buckets of bitter-sweet tears. waaah! thank you to majo and nikko for talking about it on facebook. it was a good cry.

my favorite scenes were:

1. the first and the last kissing scene at their special place (they made it without the MUSH)

2. Makoto crying while looking at Shizuru's photographs of him. (awww...)

IT'S A MUST TO SEE THIS FILM!!!! WAAAAH!

It's 2011! Another year of happiness and challenges. Haha. 2010 has been kind of a whirlwind. Studied for the boards, had a mega crush on someone, joined red cross as an instrutor, got to know my camera and joined klik, passed the board exam, made a major production at school! There were a lot of happy things that happened last year!

Tita Mely and the rest of the family didn't know of his return. wahahaha! you should've seen their faces! GULAT NA GULAT! wahahaha. love it!
In LP, they were expecting biboy already... "Asan si biboy?".. i thought,"huh, bat mo alam???"... ANO BA!? it was supposed to be a surprise! hahaha. My older cousins where bullying him (for endearment.. hehehe) just like the old times. He's the youngest amongst cousins so i guess he's used to it. LOL. Ipapa raffle daw ni kuya Jun yung Ipad nya. Kuya Mitch even made the stubs (with miggy's, che's and his name on them)... ang kukuleet! hahaha!
