this it the very first picture of our group in san lazaro... C.I was orienting.
the video shows a very comfortable, care-free nursing students. they didn't know that the room they went to was an isolation room for varicella (chicken pox room). ahahahaha!!!!
this was our second day in San Lazaro Hospital. Mrs. Caluntad, RN, our clinical instructor, told us to find a vacant room where we can put our stuff and do our charting. we found this room, and goodness, how happy we were at first by finding the vacant room (there were other student nurses from different schools)... my groupmates sat on the leather matresses, layed all their stuff on it... like how you see in the video... taking pictures (which is not allowed). our C.I came and said, 'Nako, varicella room yan! wag kayo jan! hindi ako papasok jan no...'.. ay lintik! i haven't had chicken pox yet!
when i got home, i washed my lab gown with bleach to disinfect it. took a bath and all... kakapraning!!!

we were assigned in the male ward. i handled a 19- year old with dengue hemorrhagic fever. his temperature was soaring high! he cannot take his paracetamol IV yet since he just took it.. so, i did TSB. from 38.9 C, i was able to decrease his temp to 38.1 C (with the help of Andrew Escolano). yey!

we eat our dinner either at shell or petron... this was one of our pictures taken from KFC.
i dunno but we were laughing our asses off talking about random stuff. in short, we were extraordinarily happy at that time... inspite of seeing a dead animal in my fries
and a leaking krusher.
the bucket of fries was half empty already when we saw the damn insect. told the manager and replaced it with a full bucket. we gave it to kuya Mar... he had no idea about the insect thing.
HAHAHA! walang maingay.
oh well.
