Long weekend.

And so, my long weekend has begun. What did i do? Nothing much. After "work", i stayed with my co- trainees for quite awhile to eat breakfast and do some window shopping.. It's pay day after all... I did some condo viewing, too. I was looking for a space to live in. Going back and forth from work to office is just difficult. I did decide where to live. It's not pretty but i think i can live with it. Around, 11:30am, i decided to go home. On my way to edsa, i though i shouldn't go home that early... It was the weekend! So, i went to shangrila-edsa and thought watching a a movie or eating pasta. There weren't any nice movies so i looked forma place to feed myself. I was craving for pasta... I ended up eating at wendy's. i loved their baked potatoes :). I ordered their chocolate frosty too. it used to be chocolate only but now they have variety of flavors (choco, vanilla and.. I forgot the other one). Eating there was quite different cos they used plastics now. It used to be all paper. I prefer eating on paper.

And then, i went home... I fell asleep immediately after i took a shower. I slept at 3pm until 5am in the morning the next day. :)

Im not done yet with my long weekend.

Capoeira Training :)

Saturday, EBC had another large capoeira training and roda. For some reason, it did not feel like training. It felt like a demo. But i did have fun.
Roda with Mestre Fantasma.
After the sparring.do i look like i'm having fun? Yeah. Haha
Class picture!
Post capoeira dinner. Ang kukulit kasama nila. Haha :)

So there... I hope to have another sweaty and dungis training with you guys. Haha :)
Muito obrigada!

About capoeira

I just want to share some of the pictures i took from my capoeira trainings, batizado, and capoeira meet ups... Thanks to my school, Escola Brasiliera de Capoeira, as well as Sinha Bahia De Capoiera and ECAMAR. I love meeting people with the same interests. I still have much to learn... I almost know nothing about it. Haha... But i shall learn..
With SBC's free capoeira class and roda
My take down. That was Formada Xaropinha taking me down with the deadly rastera.
My teacher, Instrutora Andorinha
EBC family from all around the world..
ECAMAR students. They're so friendly and very dedicated with the art.

J.Co and i

Now i know why people patiently fall in line for J. Co's donuts. :) among donuts i've tasted, it's quite different. The sweetness is not over-over-the-top and the donut has a special surprise inside. :) lurve it to bits.

Just a thought after a year and a few months

It's weird that for 1 year and a few months, i was not able to write a single thing about work or how i was doing... It's just now... After my stay there at the rehab where i worked at... There were good times and bad times. Happy moments and sad ones.. Ups and downs... Yeah, i learned a lot, undoubtedly. I can say that, fully, i was able to experience being psych nurse in different aspects.. To my mentors, supervisors and the doctors, thank you so much for the experience. I know that there are still a lot to learn.

The students somehow have become dear to me, too. I pray for their fast recovery.

Im going to miss the facility... And my name, exclusively used for work. Hahaha. "hi mam trish." "tracy, pagkain ko lang.". "ms. Trixie, sige kumain ka na."

Here is a pic of my going away party. Too bad, not everyone was able to come. The other pic with the envelop was from a satisfied client. Naks! Just had to take a pic of it before returning it

My new hobby (apart from the others)

Hello strings! :) you want one?

Post capoeira

Maculele <3

I had my training at EBC greenhills today, along with my teacher, Andorinha, and my 2 trainmates, nikko and joanne. :) it was an hour of maculele. I love maculele! I've never sweated in dancing until that. Haha. :)
The training was quick. It felt like something was lacking. Maybe because i didnt practice the capoeira moves. It was more of singing and maculele earlier.
It's fun anyway. After, the training, we hangout at serenitea with other capoeiristas and talked a little. :)

Im going to get my abada next week! Yey!

Ps. Zach lucero of imago was there. *star struck* see, that's him at the back, right side along with my other fave pinoy artists! A little souvinir from circa 2002

Past Shoots

Patricia Klopf
I was my first time meeting her. she's really TALL and very pretty. it was great taking her pictures cos she doesn't have this superstar attitude. she's very down to earth and easy to be with even if it was her first time being with us. The camera loves her. Very photogenic.
We were just laughing all the time and having a great day in the beautiful scenery of Taytay Falls. Being with the Klik friends (mam Chix, Byords, Thoff, Carol and hubby) makes it easier to shoot.
The best part that day was going home. Had a top-load experience (riding at the jeep's roof) with Thoff and Byords. It was kinda scary, though, especially when Tim told be about his friend's gory accident. brrr.. Anyway. that'll be the last Top-load ride for me.

Jasmine
Jasmin Martinez, a co-photographer and model.
It's amazing how Jasmine turns from a shy, quiet girl into a blooming young lady, full with confidence.
We planned to shoot Gredy Xiu style but it kinda turned out differently. I preferred to have a guy in the picture, but the male model didn't make it. It was 2pm.. scorching madness! It was hot that day! around 3:30pm, the sun hid behind the clouds ---- overcast! I'm not a fan of the overcast lighting condition (although many photographers, i think, love it) but the shoot went well. :) Bravo, Jasmine!

Alice In Wonderland
One of Klik's grand shoot (unofficially, cos we are 'underground' for the moment. lol). the shoot went well despite of the rain and the sunless sky. we pulled it off. Bravo to mam Chix and Reiko for doing the hair and make-up. I did a little, but they did most of the work. :D haha. Thanks to the models: Midge, Jasmine, Rheycell, Anshang, Gem and Patty, for being so game in a gloomy day.

Steve Jobs

You have truly made a huge mark in this world. Amazing.

Street Photography

chai, ang dami mo ring natutunan ngayon araw nato. kala mo, ang street photography ay basta basta nalang. hindi pala. maraming elemento kang dapat malaman. ang daming technicalities... maganda rin na nakikinig sa mga experto. sabi nga nila, "it's good to know the rules. once you know them, break them!"

1) Subject + Background + Coherence = SP
2) The photographer is included in the photographs he/she is taking. prevent using zoom lenses cos they make the photos look cold.
3) Think before you pitik.
4) patience is a virtue... anticipate what's going to happen next.
5) compose!
6) new abbreviation: IMO- In my opinion
HHSS- Holding Hands may pa Sway Sway pa.

Sha, makatulog na!

Lazy bee

i have to take off this hideous make up. the face is getting itchy.
I was experimenting on smokey eye make up today... and it turned out to be "smoking eye".. haha! i had it all wrong, not even on each eye. i decided to play with it and put black eyeliner and black eyeshadow on my lips... i'm confused with my anatomy now! LOL

i look like the third member of the dresden dolls. that's ok, 'cause i've been listening to their music the whole day! i'm stuck with this ear candy at home, but, with no food and no one to talk to. (well, there IS food but i'm too lazy to cook. bad me.)... i know, i know... thou shall not be lazy when it comes to food. others die of hunger because, food, they have none...

i had more eventful activities prior to this day. i was just too lazy to blog it...

damn this laziness.
