RECTO trip

now i have something to say here. :) yey! this afternoon, haycee and i went to manila to buy books for school. the book i bought was not available elsewhere, so i had to go all the way to recto avenue to get it. (had 3 train rides to get there). hrmm. i was thinking of buying another comprehensive review for nclex; but, i just bought a pretty expensive set of books last week... still thinking what to buy, the Q&A book or the comprehensive review.... think think!
i wanted to go to manila zoo today. the weather was not cooperating. it's still rainy outside as i am typing this. i decided not to go. avilon zoo, i think, is a better place to visit. i remebered that art films/ indie films (courtesy of Cine Europa) were showing at the shangrila mall today. we went there instead, fell in line immediately as we arrived the theater @ around 6:30pm. we were quite hungry at that time, haycee wanted to get off the line and eat dinner. i told her no, coz the line was too long, we might not get our slots (did i mention the movie was free? it was)... so, haha, i gave her the hard boiled eggs i kept on my bag, emergency food: just in case i get hungry. while haycee was taking of the shell, the guard came up to her and said "mam, bawal po.." haha... i didn't know which was NOT allowed... she was also sitting on the floor. so either that, or the 'egg unwrapping'... i didnt understand...
anyway... the movie was funny! the movie was called "the last summer". i knew nothing about it since i didn't read the synopsis. it was really hilarious. i guess the movie was made during the late 90's... i noticed the backstreet boy - hairdoo of the actors. hahaha! i can't wait to watch the other movies. :) i'd like to watch the scary ones. yeah.

yes! sa wakas! dinner time! after the movie, we headed to Secret Recipes for dinner. :) wow! hebigat the meal was! for a high-end resto, i think the cost of the food was like a budget meal. P150 for a meal that big? SULIT! haycee and i, got the same thing. so we paid 150 each... it was more than worth it, i guess. :)
going home was the worst part. we were done eating at 10pm... @the bus at 10:30.... @ home at 1:30! shocks... traffic was really baaaaaad in bicutan... was freezing at the bus too... agh. good thing i had company. i didn't expect haycee was going to manila too. :)

when i got home, i had to hang our clothes to dry. did the laundry in the morning. thanks to our very smart washing machine... haha.
